Dear Parents,

Hello and warm greetings to all of you! My name is Sharon.

I am delighted to introduce myself as your child’s new teacher at St George’s Preschool. I feel incredibly honored to be a part of this wonderful community and to have the opportunity to work with your little ones.

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m someone who has a strong connection to both Taiwan and New Zealand. My whanau and I immigrated to New Zealand in 2014, and since then I’ve developed a deep love for Papatuanuku, often exploring the outdoors through hiking and traveling.

I followed my passion for Early Childhood Education and pursued a Bachelor of Teaching at NZTC, where I graduated in 2021. Since then, my journey has been deeply rewarding and fulfilling as I witnessed the magic of children’s smiles and the potential they hold for learning and development. I also have a certificate for first aid and the child protection course.

Working with children has been my dream for as long as I can remember. I believe that every child is a unique individual with their own strengths and abilities, and my goal as a teacher is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where they can explore, discover, and grow. I am committed to fostering their curiosity, creativity, and confidence, as well as their well-being.

I am truly excited about the journey ahead, and I look forward to collaborating with you guys, the parents, as partners to support your child’s learning and development. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to share a wonderful moment from your child’s day. Thank you for your trust, I am eager to meet all of you and embark on this exciting adventure together.

With warm regards,

Sharon Hu

My name is Kelera Liku Yalidole and I was born in Suva, Fiji. I graduated with a Primary School Teaching Certificate in 1984 at the Corpus Christ Teachers College in Fiji and in 2000 I attained a BA majoring in Geography and Education and History as my Major. I graduated with a Masters For Education degree in 2006 for which all my qualifications were attained from the University of the South Pacific in Fiji. My teaching experience has taken me from primary to secondary schools, I had experience as a lecturer for Social Sciences in the Teachers Training College (Fiji Advance College) for a year, I was later promoted as a Curriculum Developer for Social Sciences at the Ministry of Education in Fiji from 2010 to 2013. I also enjoyed teaching in the Takanezawa District Education Board, in Japan for 2 years as an ALT, in 2013-2015, before I settled in Auckland and have been working in ECE for the past 8 years.

I believe that my vast experience in Education has given me confidence, strength, insights, wisdom, mana, and knowledge to understand, teach and support teachers teach, nurture and ensure we offer best practice to our Tamariki. I always believe each child is unique, blessed, intelligent and a precious treasure of mum and dad. My philosophy is to ensure that I provide a safe, happy, loving, caring, enriching and inclusive play/learning environment to nurture and support a child to reach their maximum potential.

“Play is not just about having fun but about taking risks, experimenting, problem solving, collaboration, creativity, and testing boundaries.”

I also believe that each child deserves to be happy because it boosts their morale, self-esteem, confidence and will empower them to learn, inquire, experiment, and explore to the best of their ability.

My experience in education has enriched and empowered me with confidence, knowledge, and a wisdom to understand not only the theoretical aspects of child development, but has given me the opportunity as a practicing teacher to learn and acquire necessary skills to better and improve my practice over the years through reviews, training workshops, partnerships with other non-government organizations and further studies locally and abroad. It has also enlightened me of the importance and the critical aspect of building relationships with parents and stakeholders.

It gives so much satisfaction and contentment when we see children develop and progress in life.

Kia Ora St George whānau,

My name is Sureerut Adunyarittikun, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as a fully qualified and registered Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher. I bring with me over 12 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, including three years dedicated to Early Intervention and nine years specializing in Neurodiversity support, which I find incredibly rewarding.

My educational journey includes a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration (Management), a Diploma in Culinary Practice, a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Teaching, and a Postgraduate Degree in Early Intervention. In 2021, I proudly graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Special Teaching (Early Intervention), further deepening my expertise in this field.

I have had the privilege of working as an Early Intervention Teacher at Ohomairangi Trust for two years and at the Ministry of Education for one year. These experiences have shaped my belief in the importance of building and maintaining strong relationships with whānau and their children. I am committed to creating a respectful and inclusive learning environment where children are given ample opportunities to learn, explore, and thrive.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, I believe in fostering an environment filled with love, care, and respect. It is essential for children to have fun while discovering their unique interests and talents. I am genuinely delighted and honoured to be part of the St George whānau. I look forward to contributing my experiences to nurture and support our children’s growth and development.

I am eager to pursue my career in education and am enjoying working at this centre as I do this. I thank you for your trust in placing your Tamariki in my care and will endeavour to provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for them to grow and learn in.

Bula Vinaka, Ko Angie Kommalapati Toku Ingoa

I moved to Aotearoa more than 20 years ago. I have been married for 18 years and have 2 fur babies (Princy and Archie). I obtained my Bachelor of Education (ECE) at Manukau Institute of Technology.

I believe Salvation is only through the Son of God, Jesus Christ, as he is the only way to attain salvation. I have been preschool (transition) teacher for nearly 14 years. I will provide a safe, caring environment where Tamariki are free to speak their mind and blossom and grow. I believe all Tamariki are unique and need a stimulating environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where Tamariki can meet their full potential and become school ready.
